Nothing brings people together better than food. So if team-building is your goal, consider taking your team Black Star Farms to bond over beautiful views and delicious wine and food.

Not only is the Black Star property a luxurious getaway, it also has large meeting spaces, making it an excellent destination for a team meeting or retreat. Possible activities include cooking demos, cooking competitions, create-your-own-wine-blend classes and blind-tasting competitions.

Executive Chef Cole Thorton instructs the cooking classes, demonstrating various recipes and techniques while providing hands-on instructions. Thorton enjoys using seasonal ingredients, and typically changes the class every month to keep recipes timely. However, Black Star Farms will work with corporate groups to customize the classes to reflect each team’s tastes and interests.

Such classes can be a great way to gain insights into how your team prefers to work— whether they like to jump right into the action or simply observe, cooking classes will provide a new perspective on how to engage and approach your team.

Currently, Tuckahoe has 16 different beers in their tasting room that come in various sizes: 4-ounce pours, 10-ounce goblets and 16-ounce pints.
