At Hilton Minneapolis this past November, the NACE Minneapolis/ St. Paul Chapter held its educational conference entitled Minnesota Made: Midwest Moments of Wow. The aesthetic featured plenty of plaid, as the theme was “luxury lumberjack.”

The day focused on three words as its mission: education, experience and enjoy. Keynote speaker David Caruso of Dynamic Events shared innovative tools and ideas with the audience, and breakout sessions were plentiful, including Ethnic Catering + Your Venue = A Happy Client with Anna Senrick, Common Food Allergies: Offering Safe Options with Cassie Weness, RD, LD, and more. twincitiesnace.net

On June 21, the MPI Southern California Chapter marked its 40th anniversary as members gathered for their annual installation gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. After a welcome reception in the Wetherly Garden, where cocktails were hosted by Mulholland Distilling and sparkling wine by South Coast Winery, guests moved into the ballroom for the awards program and dinner and the swearing in of the 2018-19 Board of Directors. The evening concluded with a lavish dessert reception in the Orchid Room.
