International Live Events Association (ILEA-MSP) met at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sept. 29 for networking, lunch, a tour of the stadium and an address from Maureen Bausch, CEO of the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee. Attendees learned about the different ways to get involved in the 10-day Bold North Festival that will lead up to Super Bowl LII. Bausch addressed what planners will need to know about NFL-sanctioned and Minnesota Super Bowl LII Host Committee events, as well as the legacy that the Super Bowl will leave in Minnesota—including its Super Bowl Legacy Fund charitable arm and the supplier diversity Business Connect program.

MPI New Jersey Chapter held an energetic networking event on Nov. 29 at Bowlmor Lanes Green Brook. There was plenty of fun, a few gutter balls and lots of networking. Some of the groups that came together even sported team shirts for a little fun competition.

On Oct. 20, 2016, 120 guests gathered at the Metropolist in Seattle to celebrate the 2016 Best of Northwest Meetings + Events readers’ choice awards. Special thanks to this year’s fabulous sponsors: Butler Seattle, Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, Salem Convention Center and Tulalip Resort Casino.
