Thirteen meetings industry-related organizations joined forces as the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado to coordinate and host the 24th annual Serving Up Hope Luncheon on Nov. 7 at Denver Mart. More than 700 industry professionals attended and raised more than $30,000 for Food Bank of the Rockies’ Denver’s Table program. Food sta - tions receiving awards included Marriott Denver Tech Center for Best Appetizer, Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel for Best Entrée, Rialto Cafe for Best Dessert, and Scratch Catering Services for People’s Choice.

What started as a summer job for Matthew Doubek has turned into more than 20 years of caricatures.

 

On June 21, the MPI Southern California Chapter marked its 40th anniversary as members gathered for their annual installation gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. After a welcome reception in the Wetherly Garden, where cocktails were hosted by Mulholland Distilling and sparkling wine by South Coast Winery, guests moved into the ballroom for the awards program and dinner and the swearing in of the 2018-19 Board of Directors. The evening concluded with a lavish dessert reception in the Orchid Room.
