On May 31 at International Market Square, the National Speakers Association – Minnesota Chapter (NSAMN) held its annual gala to celebrate the past year and recognize outstanding members, from those who earned their CSP to those who offered advice and knowledge throughout the year. Awards were presented for Newcomer IMPACT, Chapter Member of the Year, Next Level, Volunteer of the Year, the Mark Leblanc Award, Minnesota Speaker Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award. The incoming board was also introduced. The theme was Be a Pineapple with a Tropical Twist, and mentalist Joe “The MindShark” Curcillo provided entertainment with a thought-driven program.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International – Southern Colorado Chapter held its annual summer fundraiser on July 17 at Colorado Springs Marriott. A beach party theme kept things lively, and members were encouraged to “flamingle” and bring guests of all ages. Funds raised benefitted CASA of the Pikes Peak Region.

Members of the National Association of Catering & Events Greater Denver Chapter pulled out the gym gear and dusted off their Nikes to take the field. The Denver Broncos’ UCHealth Training Center, a professional-grade facility, served as the backdrop for all sorts of fun and games.

The annual education luncheon and trade show of the Sacramento Sierra Nevada chapter of Meeting Professionals International brought out many fancy hats and the smaller accessories known as “fascinators,” a nod to the “Derby Days” theme. Held in the Clubhouse at the Cal Expo racetrack, the event’s bar served up mint juleps, another merry bow to the theme.
