• Former Reed Exhibitions North America President Nancy Walsh Launches New Company

Recently President of Reed Exhibitions North America, Nancy Walsh announced the launch of her new company Xpert Consulting, LLC, which will focus on building even businesses. Throughout the past 30 years, Walsh oversaw the double-digit growth of the North American division of Reed Exhibitions, the largest trade show management company in the world.

Focusing on helping business grow and using strategy and relationship to build a focus on customer retention, “I am thrilled to launch Xpert Consulting to take my experience to help support other companies with their growth plans and strategy,” explains Walsh. “I look forward to working with companies serving the trade show and events industry and helping them realize their full potential.”

While at Reed Exhibitions, Walsh contributed to the Reed brand in numerous ways including adding 20 events to the now-60 event annual North American lineup, including establishing Reed’s robust presence in Mexico. “I have been honored to oversee business growth, customer attraction, digital innovations, sales restricting and the expansion of events in Mexico during my tenure at Reed Exhibition.”

In addition, Walsh worked on adding new elements to keep visitors connected to events and exhibits including innovative networking programs connecting like-minded visitors; investing in digital innovations to provide visitors and exhibitors, customized data before, during and after events. She also built 15 annual pop culture events across the U.S. and launched the Sales Academy, a six-month intensive training for recent college graduates.

Lela Restaurant has rolled out new lunch and dinner menus, created by new executive chef Thomas Orbison.

Chef Orbison discovered his passion and talent for cooking following his career in the United States Air Force. “After six years in the military, I developed a passion for cooking and moved to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu, which is like Harvard for chefs,” said Oribson.

Now that he’s back in Minnesota for the first time since 2004, Oribson is excited to launch some new entrees in the southwest metro.

 

Hilton recently named Martin Rinck as global head of the brand's Luxury & Lifestyle Group.

In his new role, Rinck will be responsible for all strategic development, brand innovation and leadership initiatives for Hilton’s portfolio, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

Rinck will also oversee the continued growth of Hilton’s newest lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton.

 

Skyline Exhibits, a leading trade show marketing company, has announced Mark Gomilla has been named the general manager of its Regional Service Center in Chicago.

Gomilla, is no stranger to Skyline having worked within the Skyline dealer organization for more than 10 years. He was most recently the president of Skyline Exhibit Resource, a Skyline dealership in De Pere, Wisconsin. Gomilla had also previously managed the service side of business.
