• Grand View Lodge Announces New 60-room Hotel As Part of $30 Million Expansion

Grand View Lodge, Spa and Golf Resort will debut a new 60-room boutique hotel in May 2019. Additionally, two new real estate developments are already underway and will soon begin welcoming owners and overnight guests. A new wedding chapel and recreation center and is expanding its spa facilities as well.

The new 60-room boutique hotel, North, will break ground this spring with plans to open in time for summer visitors in 2019. This new building is located close to the main lodge and hub of activities. The design is an urban take on the traditional guest lodge, differing from past models at Grand View. The hotel will also include a 5,000-square-foot conference room and breakfast area, further positioning Grand View as an ideal location for hosting meetings and events of all sizes.

The spa is also expanding with eight new treatment rooms, as well as a year-round outdoor Japanese soaking pool, expanded women’s locker room and a new relaxation area. As one of the most popular resort spas in the state, it will soon offer additional facilities and new services to accommodate even more guests and bridal parties.

A 1,200-square-foot wedding chapel is already underway and will be the first new building to open to guests, set for a July 2018 debut. The intimate, rustic chapel is designed for ceremonies of up to 75 people and will be an important addition for destination weddings, as well as intimate, cherished events such as vow renewals.

A new recreation center is tracking for an early 2019 opening and will bring new activities to the programming available at Grand View. The facility will include indoor and outdoor pools, a cornhole stadium, sand volleyball courts, ice skating rinks, a basketball court, children’s activity area, mini golf course, lawn bowling, and courts for croquet, pickle ball and tennis. The new building will also house a fitness center and yoga studio, snack bar, children’s programming, bike programming and Garden Golf Pro Shop.

Bringing even more lodging opportunities for resort guests, two distinct new residential communities are already underway at Grand View – Fairway Pines and the Garden Cottages. These communities will be included in the rental program for overnight guests to enjoy. The Fairway Pines neighborhood will feature a selection of 20 craftsman-style two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. All Fairway Pines homes have golf course views of the award-winning Pines Golf Course. The neighborhood will also feature an outdoor pool, as well as a 100-yard putting course. The neighborhood homes also feature cross-country ski trails in the winter. The Garden Course Cottages neighborhood features luxury craftsman-style vacation homes.

JW Marriott Nashville recently announced an exclusive partnership with American bootmaker Lucchese. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in July, says the partnership will give guests the opportunity to explore Music City in luxurious style.

Luxury guest ranch C Lazy U Ranch recently won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the third year in a row and simultaneously announced the appointment of Certified Level II Sommelier Elise Blann. Blann will work closely with Executive Chef Dennis Kaniger at C Lazy U to select the perfect wine for each meal. The dining program specializes in regional ranch cuisine, such as Rocky mountain trout, rosemary rack of lamb and aged western beef.

 

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center recently announced the addition of Director of Food & Beverage Saddiq Mir and Executive Chef Fabian Ludwig to its culinary team. The resort destination is set to open in late 2018 and will feature a wide variety of F&B options, including a steakhouse, a sports grill, a sushi bar, a cocktail lounge and multiple coffee and quick bite spots.
