• Highly anticipated Shinola Hotel comes to Detroit Fall 2018

Anticipated to open in Fall 2018, Shinola and Detroit-based real estate company Bedrock announces plans for the first Shinola Hotel located at 1400 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. This new boutique hotel incorporates a new lifestyle concept and combines the best of both brands – Shinola’s high-quality, American built craftsmanship and Bedrock’s development and urban revitalization expertise.

“While Detroit has seen the launch of new hotels over the last few years, we still see a gap in the boutique hotel market,” said Dan Mullen, executive vice president, Bedrock. “The Shinola Hotel will be like nothing else in Detroit and will be strategically located in the now burgeoning shopping district on Woodward Avenue. We know out of town visitors will appreciate the central location and unique experience the hotel will offer, while local Detroiters will want to stop in for a dinner or drink while shopping downtown.”

The 130+ room hotel will feature Detroit-inspired designed from renowned Gachot Studios, along with an innovative food and beverage program from New York-based NoHo Hospitality Group, who is known for opening top restaurants, hotels, live music venues, and major sports arenas around the country.

As downtown Detroit continues attracting more visitors, the demand for hotels are at an all-time high. Shinola and Bedrock want to deliver a thoughtfully curated hospitality experience, designed especially for Detroit, as well as making it enjoyable for business travelers, tourists, and even residents.

“A great hotel provides something for everyone,” says Christine Gachot, co-founder of Gachot Studios. “We will create a diverse program to engage guests, and welcome and energize the community.”

JW Marriott Nashville recently announced an exclusive partnership with American bootmaker Lucchese. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in July, says the partnership will give guests the opportunity to explore Music City in luxurious style.

Luxury guest ranch C Lazy U Ranch recently won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the third year in a row and simultaneously announced the appointment of Certified Level II Sommelier Elise Blann. Blann will work closely with Executive Chef Dennis Kaniger at C Lazy U to select the perfect wine for each meal. The dining program specializes in regional ranch cuisine, such as Rocky mountain trout, rosemary rack of lamb and aged western beef.

 

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center recently announced the addition of Director of Food & Beverage Saddiq Mir and Executive Chef Fabian Ludwig to its culinary team. The resort destination is set to open in late 2018 and will feature a wide variety of F&B options, including a steakhouse, a sports grill, a sushi bar, a cocktail lounge and multiple coffee and quick bite spots.
