The Hoxton, Portland officially opened its doors on November 12. The much anticipated opening was the second U.S location for the Hoxton brand. The Hoxton, based in London is planning two additional openings in the United States later in 2019—The Hoxton Chicago and The Hoxton Downtown L.A. The Hoxton Portland, located in historic Old Town Chinatown in a building dating back to 1906, features 119 rooms and three restaurants including a cocktail bar.

Each of the 119 guest rooms features a northwest modern ambiance and includes a walk-in shower, a wardrobe and desk. Hoxton in-room amenities also include complimentary Wi-Fi, one hour of free calls to anywhere in the world, a mini fridge and a daily ‘emergency’ breakfast bag delivered right to each door. Guests can choose between four room types—the Shoebox, Snug, Cozy and Roomy

The Hoxton Portland also offers multiple meeting and event opportunities in The Apartment which is scheduled to open later this year. By day, this space is perfect for meetings, brainstorming sessions, photo and video shoots, and presentations. By night, it is ideal for private events and parties. The Apartment includes separate meeting rooms in a variety of sizes. This space will also host workshops and master classes available to guests.

A defining quality of The Hoxton is its incorporation of the diverse neighborhood culture. The Hoxton Portland invites local culture into its space by offering local artists and start-ups the opportunity to showcase their work. Hox Friends is a program to initiate engagement between hotel guests and locals by inviting neighborhood members to handpick 10 reads and insights about the area to share with guests. This program establishes a relationship between hotel guests and locals, immersing visitors in the rich cultural aspects of the surrounding neighborhood.
