The ILEA New York Metro Chapter’s Big Apple Celebration on June 19 reflected on its 30 years as a chapter and also looked to the future. Held at the Bank at Manhattan Center, the newest event space at The New Yorker, A Wyndham Hotel, chapter awards and the Hall of Legends Award were handed out as well as the installation of the 2018-19 officers.

The iconic Hotel Crescent Court—situated in the heart of Dallas’ vibrant Uptown— recently celebrated the completion of the $33 million overhaul to its lobby, guest rooms, lavish suites, corridors, and spa and fitness center. To celebrate the momentous occasion, Hotel Crescent Court invited VIP guests to a special unveiling. As a Lone Star landmark, Hotel Crescent Court’s 186 rooms and 40 lavish suites reflect gracious Texas hos - pitality including a private bar, custom bath products and thoughtful touches.

 

Over 400 association executives, staff and members of the hospitality community connected at the Associations North Solutions Conference at Mystic Lake Center on June 13-14. The conference consisted of the Annual Meeting & Expo, a Cornholapalooza (bean bag tournament) and a Golf Classic, and an open-concept trade show.

 

The International Live Events Association Denver Chapter held its May meeting at WhirlyBall in Colorado Springs. WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball and bumper cars into a game that is both skill and chance. Attendees also enjoyed 12 lanes of bowling, craft beer and cocktails, and a chef-driven menu.
