JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa diversifies its amenities as it welcomes the new Tidal Cove Waterpark. Adding five acres of pool area, the new recreation space is home to the nation’s first FlowRider Triple surf simulator, a 60-foot tower with seven water slides and a 4,000-square-foot play structure. Tidal Cove is the most recent addition to the resort’s multi-million dollar renovation and expansion.

Twenty-five private cabanas, two private event lawns with 15,000 square feet and 12,000 square feet, and two new dining venues accompany the opening of Tidal Cove. Surf House Bar & Grill offers an elegant dining experience in its two-story, open-air space that accommodates 142 guests. The second restaurant, Freestyle, is Tidal Cove’s quick service dining facility striving to meet the needs of every guest.

“Throughout our fifty-year history, we have endeavored to serve our guests and members with exceptional hospitality, and Tidal Cove is the next chapter in our story to continue enhancing the family experience. Tidal Cove will be a unique offering in the greater South Florida area and an exciting way for groups and families alike to enjoy the sunshine in a fun, upscale outdoor setting,” says Jeff Soffer, chairman and CEO of Fontainebleau Development.

“We are proud to have such a well-rounded and highly-accredited staff at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry to support our newest luxury waterpark venture,” says Jeff Klein, vice president and managing director of Turnberry.

Tidal Cove welcomes hotel guests and Turnberry Isle Country Club members. Resort day memberships are also available to the public.

Earlier this month, The Dayton’s Project unveiled the first of several installations in the Dayton’s skyways. The whole development is on schedule to open this spring and will include retail shopping and direct access to the food hall on the lower level.

It is no secret that meeting and event trends come and go in the blink of an eye. Scoring the perfect arrangements and keeping attendees happy is no easy feat for planners. Allied Market Research suggests the key to success lies in tailor-made experiences and non-traditional event spaces, which they predict will propel the global MICE industry throughout the end of 2019 into 2020.
