Global DMC Partners, the largest global partnership of independent Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and sales advisors, welcomed Nashology Events to their network.

Inspired in Nashville, TN, Nashology Events is a boutique, full service DMC that showcases Music City by focusing on a fresh, hip alternative to traditional event planning.

President of Global DMC Partners, Catherine Chaulet stated, “Lindsey and Jack Furr [co-owners of Nashology] are true experts in their market. Their entire team is incredibly dedicated to customer satisfaction and they have a keen eye for creativity and program design. We are thrilled to welcome them to our elite DMC partnership!”

Global DMC Partners assess every prospective DMC based on criteria to ensure the network is comprised of DMCs with great local connections, creative expertise, and proven financial stability.

Chaulet explained, “DMCs around the globe actively reach out to us, asking how they can become a member of our esteemed network. This demand we’re seeing is why we’re able to assess new DMC Partners on a continuous basis, only bringing on-board the best-in-class DMCs to help our partnership grow.”

Furr later said, “We are beyond excited to be joining the Global DMC Partners family! Nashology has been given this amazing opportunity to share our love, passion and knowledge of Nashville with GDP’s global client base, and we could not be more ready or appreciative. Music City has so much to offer and our team prides itself on excellence, no matter what size event. We look forward to working with an incredible network of destination partners all over the world!”

The DMC network has an additional 65 partnerships of like-minded companies that represent over 500 destinations around the globe.

When the Chicago Architecture Center opens at its new home at 111 East Wacker Drive this August, the city will gain a new cultural destination—and event planners will gain a sparkling new venue to consider for events.

“The view of the river and prominent buildings at that corner is breathtaking,” says Deb Rodak, manager of group sales and business development for the 20,000-square-foot facility, situated above the dock for Chicago’s First Lady Cruises.

The theme “We’re ready to help” shines throughout the new 2018 Meeting Planners Guide to Michigan Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus (MACBV).

The Meet in Michigan guide, produced in partnership with the MACVB and Michigan Meetings + Events magazine, is packed with creative help for meeting planners.

According to the annual Salary Survey conducted by Convene, the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) industry leading magazine, event organizers received an average income increase of nearly seven percent in the last year. That’s more than twice the North American average.
