Opening in spring 2019, Asterisk is a venue that will bring community and events together under one roof.

Located in the up-and-coming Arapahoe Park area, adjacent to RiNo, Asterisk can host groups up to 1,500 reception-style and over 800 for dining events in the main hall. Smaller groups can be be accommodated with multiple special event entities set up in the space from catering stations to dancing areas and a presentation stage.

The interior is designed with intent to be more of a blank palette, so planners can infuse the space with their own vision. The venue also includes access to a 1,700-square-foot rooftop deck that can be used for events only or in combination with the main hall. The second floor offers a boardroom that can also be used as a preparation or green room for entertainment groups or wedding parties.

The venue catering list includes the following: A Spice of Life, Biscuits and Berries, Catering by Design, Epicurean Culinary Group, Footers Catering, Occasions Catering, Relish Catering Company and Three Tomatoes.

Asterisk is currently offering a pre-booking incentive special by offering 20% off venue rental rates for all events that book prior to March 1, 2019 and host their event in 2019. Additional discounts apply for a multi-day, event rental opportunity.

Event attendees at the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) will now be able to enjoy coffee from the first robotic, connected coffee service in Houston—the Coffee Haus, located across from the Marriott Marquis Houston’s skywalk. Houston First, which owns and operates the GRB, and its hospitality team powered by Levy, Houston Inspired Catering, have partnered with Austin-based Briggo to implement this service.
