2017 marks the 100th year of business for Perona Farms, a venue full of rich family history that is maintained today. Still owned and operated by the Perona family, the fourth and fifth generations continue to carry on these important traditions. Located in the heart of northern New Jersey, Perona Farms has both indoor and outdoor spaces to host events that range from 20-300 attendees. “Each year, Perona Farms hosts at least 300 weddings, social, corporate and off-premise catering events,” says Bryant Avondoglio, director of operations, and a fifth-generation Perona.

While weddings are most popular, since Perona Farms offers five different locations for wedding ceremonies, the venue has also seen a substantial increase in corporate meetings and social events. With its extensive grounds, world-class cuisine and trained service team, Perona Farms is a perfect venue to host your next event. “Perona Farms has remained popular and successful for 100 years by constantly innovating and maintaining daily family involvement in all aspects of the operation. The on-site greenhouse for fresh produce is just the latest example of constant innovation,” says Avondoglio.

Maritime Parc, located at the marina at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, is well known for its stunning views of Manhattan and its elegant food, but its cocktail list is really worth perusing. These drinks aren’t just delicious—most of the specialty cocktails are inspired by and named for famous shipwrecks off the coast of New Jersey or New York.

The Spanish steamer Vizcaya was headed for Havana on Nov. 1, 1890, when it collided with a coal schooner, Cornelius Hargrave. The wreck is located off the coast of New Jersey about 25 miles south of the Manasquan inlet.
