Margaritaville Resort Orlando Celebrates Groundbreaking

In late July, Margaritaville Resort Orlando celebrated the groundbreaking of its new hotel. The $750 million property will have 187 rooms, located next to U.S. Highway 192 near Toll Road 429 in Western Osceola County. The gathering on July 27 hosted Margaritaville executives, local dignitaries, and representatives from the development company Encore Capital Management, for a total of more than 250.

Conrad Fort Lauderale Beach to Open in September

Coming this September, the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will open its doors to the public on Fort Lauderdale's North Beach. The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will be the newest addition to the Conrad Hotels & Resorts portfolio, being the second Conrad property in Florida, with 290 suites.

Robert Treat Hotel Unveils New Ballroom

Downtown Newark’s Robert Treat Hotel has completed the renovations of its Crystal Ballroom. And befitting a place named the Crystal Ballroom? A three-tier chandelier with 30,000 hand-cut and polished crystals, of course! To top it all off, the chandelier is equipped with technology that enables the staff to change the chandelier’s color. For a recent political event, they used what else – red, white and blue.

PRO EM Party & Event Rentals Acquires Universal Resource Supply, LLC and SoCal Tent & Events

PRO EM Party & Event Rentals has recently acquired University Resource Supply, LLC and SoCal Tents & Events. This is the second acquisition in 45 days, having acquired Partytime-HDO Productions in May. These acquisitions follow PRO EM's recapitalization by Dos Rios Partners in October 2016. After the recapitalization, PRO EM decided it wanted to acquire entities from other markets like URS and Partytime-HDO Productions, in order to expand its menu of services, product inventory and to offsest seasonality.

Chateau on the Lake Resort Names New Managers

Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center has added Gayla Welsh as corporate sales manager, and Jessica Wrenfrow as event sales manager.

M&M Event Rentals Announces Acquisition

M&M Event Rentals has acquired the Chicago and Dallas (Ducky Bob's) locations of Classic Party Rentals, which is based in Los Angeles. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition is M&M's fifth since it partnered with Dubin & Clark Company, Inc. in February 2016.

“By combining the talents, products and resources of these companies, we can offer our customers a wide variety of event rental products and services, while continuing to raise the level of customer service that our customers have come to expect and deserve,” says Mark Murphy, CEO of M&M.
