• Veteran Journalist Cristi Kempf Joins PCMA-Convene As Executive Editor

Veteran journalist Cristi Kempf has been named executive editor by PCMA-Convene. Kemp joins PCMA-Convene from the Chicago Tribune where she was associate managing editor for edition and presentation, and then exeuctive director for Tronc’s (formerly Tribune Publishing) new Design and Production Studio.

Kempf will play a key role in PCMA-Convene’s content and engagement strategy. She will oversee a daily and long-term editorial calendar across channels, including helping to plan and executive the print edition of Convene.

“Cristi adds a deep experience and expertise to our award-winning PCMA-Convene editorial team,” said Joycelyn Winnecke, executive vice president and general manager/Media Group. “She comes at an exciting time, as we develop new ways to engage with our audiences.”

Kempf will be based in the Chicago headquarters office, and will bring her love of travel, coffee, and Rome to her PCMA-Convene features.

Lela Restaurant has rolled out new lunch and dinner menus, created by new executive chef Thomas Orbison.

Chef Orbison discovered his passion and talent for cooking following his career in the United States Air Force. “After six years in the military, I developed a passion for cooking and moved to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu, which is like Harvard for chefs,” said Oribson.

Now that he’s back in Minnesota for the first time since 2004, Oribson is excited to launch some new entrees in the southwest metro.


Hilton recently named Martin Rinck as global head of the brand's Luxury & Lifestyle Group.

In his new role, Rinck will be responsible for all strategic development, brand innovation and leadership initiatives for Hilton’s portfolio, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

Rinck will also oversee the continued growth of Hilton’s newest lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton.


Skyline Exhibits, a leading trade show marketing company, has announced Mark Gomilla has been named the general manager of its Regional Service Center in Chicago.

Gomilla, is no stranger to Skyline having worked within the Skyline dealer organization for more than 10 years. He was most recently the president of Skyline Exhibit Resource, a Skyline dealership in De Pere, Wisconsin. Gomilla had also previously managed the service side of business.
