Located in the Tri-Valley area of Northern California, AC Hotels by Marriott opened its doors to the newly imagined AC Hotel Pleasanton this past November. Conveniently situated, AC Hotel Pleasanton is in short proximity from premium shopping outlets, restaurants, nightlife and entertainment.

Formerly known as the Sheraton Pleasanton Hotel, the establishment has recently undergone a $20 million renovation, transforming the property entirely to fit the AC Hotel brand. Now available, are 171 guestrooms, lobby and lounge, 24-hour health and fitness studio, outdoor pavilion and a more than 4,500 square-foot pool deck.

“AC Hotel Pleasanton is built with a purposeful-design and spirit, and with our team’s commitment to providing thoughtfully-crafted moments and frictionless service to better elevate the guest experience so that they can then focus on what’s most important to them. From our prime location to our intuitive service and collaborative co-working and social spaces, we understand what travelers need when they come stay with us during a business trip. Embracing AC Hotels’ philosophy, we ensure that each guest has everything they need and nothing they don’t,” says Demetrius Hodge, general manager of AC Hotel Pleasanton.

With today’s business travelers in mind, AC Hotel Pleasanton offers two formal meeting spaces, the AC Meeting Room which can hold up to roughly 70 people and the Library with a smaller capacity of 14. Both meetings spaces have A/V capabilities, LCD projector, microphone, TV, portable PA system and catering options. In the mornings, guests can enjoy a European continental breakfast served from the signature AC kitchen in an open concept dining space, and socialize in the AC Lounge with a variety of wine, beer and artisanal cocktails.

“A long-awaited moment, we are delighted to welcome guests to AC Hotel Pleasanton, especially during a time when Tri-Valley continues to experience growth as a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem brings in more technology companies, venture capital firms, medical and science labs, etc. Our newly renovated property combines a timeless and thoughtful design that is true to the AC Hotel brand heritage with the beauty of Northern California’s burgeoning Tri-Valley, which offers a unique sense of place that allows both leisure and entrepreneurial-minded travelers the opportunity to slow down and uncover the beauty in the essential,” Hodge says.

With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, most people are working from home. Many are social distancing or quarantining with their children, who have transitioned to online classes. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, offices, stores and so much more have been temporarily shut down in many states, affecting daily life in the most unexpected of ways.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday recommended that all gatherings of more than 50 people be cancelled or postponed for the next eight weeks, in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. The recommendation covers events like parades, concerts, festivals, conferences, sporting events, weddings and more.

Executive Hotels and Resorts has launched Seaside, a new waterfront property located in The Shipyards District of Lower Lonsdale (Lolo), which is North Vancouver’s historic arts and dining neighborhood. The boutique property features 71 guest rooms and suites with views of the Pacific Ocean and North Shore mountains. The architecture firm ZGF worked in collaboration with Executive Hotels’ in-house design team to bring the spirit of the outside indoors, building upon the revival of Wallace Shipyards.
