AEG, a leading sports and live entertainment company, and Southwest Value Partners have announced a new agreement that allows AEG to purchase and begin developing four acres of land in SWVP's Nashville Yards. The land in downtown Nashville will become a mixed-use entertainment district.
AEG and PRISA Group have partnered with AEG Facilities to develop, manage and operate a new 6,000-seat concert and entertainment venue in San Jose, Puerto Rico; it is set to open in early 2019.
The 105,000-square foot facility will have the capacity to host a variety of functions, including events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events.
At SXSW Eco, AEG announced their release of the 2016 AEG Sustainability Report. They also revealed their goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2020.
The company is committed to reducing their eco-footprint. So far, they have been able to reduce emissions by 13 percent—an equivalent to eliminating 3,200 vehicles on the road.
Their goals for 2020 are to reduce GHG emissions by 3.2 percent per year, reduce potable water at water-stressed sites by 2.3 percent each year, and divert 70 percent of waste from landfill.
