• Allison Walker Becomes Highland Haven Corporate Sales Manager

Allison Walker has been hired as the new corporate sales manager for The Highland Haven. Walker has been working in the inn for 15 years and has been full-time since November of 2015.

Prior to working at the Evergreen-based hotel, Walker held a number of positions at the Marriott, Holiday Inn, Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pines at Genesee.

Walker received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Colorado State University in 2009.

Since Walker’s hire, the hotel's meeting space has been utilized by groups ranging from intensive relationship therapy retreats to Fortune 500 companies annual planning meetings.

Hosting up to 25 individuals in a variety of meeting spaces and lodging rooms, the property is an ideal place for a retreat in the foothills of Colorado.

After 7 years of planning, the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center is now open in downtown Muskegon. The official ribbon cutting took place on April 12, 2021.  

 

On September 1, over 1,500 businesses across the country illuminated their buildings with red lights to draw attention to the devastation that the live events and performance art industries have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Whether a team is still working from home, or has made a phased return to the office, the past few months have seemed monotonous with not as many in-person meetings and events to break up work weeks. Meeting with a group boosts motivation, and Zoom meetings can’t compare when it comes to rallying morale.
