• The Asbury Hotel Named Best New Hotel In America

The newly opened Asbury Hotel, located in Asbury Park, N.J., is already making a name for itself as the new hotel hotspot—it was recently awarded the number one spot on USA Today’s 2017 Reader’s Choice Awards Best New Hotel in America list.

“We are thrilled to be named the best new hotel in America,” says David Bowd, Salt Hotels, part owner and operator of The Asbury. “The success just inspires us to continue to develop programming that will excite and draw visitors all year long.”

In addition to being named the Best New Hotel in America, the hotel recently revealed an interactive art exhibit, “Transparent,” with Danny Clinch, photographer and director. The popup will go through April 2017 and features images from Clinch’s career.

Its winter programming just kicked off, which includes an ice rink open on weekends, and seasonal food and beverage offerings. The opening winter event occurred on Jan. 21, and benefitted Tomorrow’s Children’s Fund, a nonprofit that supports kids fighting cancer.

Summer programming will include burleque shows, open mic nights, trivia, acoustic nights, and drag brunches.

Results from the Incentive Research Foundation’s (IRF) 2022 Incentive Travel Destination Preferences & Their Impact on Motivation confirmed that interest in incentive travel as a motivating sales reward is at an all-time high. 91% of 405 survey respondents described group incentive travel as extremely or very motivating compared to 80% last year. Individual incentive travel was rated even higher as a motivational award at 96% versus 84% last year.
