It won’t be quite the same as ordering a pizza or nachos to be delivered to your front door but getting eats at venues is taking a leap toward convenience with a new collaboration: DoorDash has become ASM Global’s “On-Demand Delivery Platform” partner, launching at ASM Global’s top North American arenas, stadiums, theaters, and convention centers in the coming months. The partnership will allow attendees to skip traditional lines by leveraging DoorDash services to order within the arena for pickup.
ASM Global SAVOR venues will integrate DoorDash’s platform into their hospitality offerings, providing a uniform mobile food and beverage ordering experience for guests. While on-site, fans/guests will be able to scan a QR code or download or open their DoorDash app to access the venue’s concession menus and premium experience options. ASM Global sees this benefit as an example of their commitment and industry-leading efforts to enhance the fan experience.
“Our multi-year focus on redefining the guest experiences of the future has connected us with the industry’s most advanced technology and service providers,” says Shaun Beard, ASM Global executive vice president of SAVOR, ASM Global’s culinary division. “This new collaboration with DoorDash allows us to provide our in-venue event attendees with powerful, friction-free hospitality ordering solutions as well as creates greater efficiencies and new revenue opportunities for our ASM Global business partners in all the markets that we serve.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with ASM Global to bring convenience on demand to fans so they can skip the lines and spend more time enjoying live viewing,” says Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, chief marketing officer at DoorDash. “At DoorDash we’re always looking for new ways to meet consumers’ ever-evolving needs, and we look forward to leveraging our platform to bring them a reliable experience at some of the most notable venues nationwide.”
ASM Global and DoorDash officially launched their on-demand mobile technology network and on-site activations at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, on June 11.
