If you attend a meeting at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel, you might notice a lot more four-legged attendees than usual. That's because Renaissance Reno has let the dogs out with its new "Doggone Good Time" meeting package.

This package includes a 30-minute break for guests to pet and play with rescue dogs from local animal shelters. And while the package aims to increase meeting productivity and keep attendees' spirits high, there's no doubt the program has benefits for the pups, too.

Alicia Cavallo, Renaissance Reno director of sales & marketing, says the Doggone Good Time program is in collaboration with local shelters and companion organizations, and participants can apply for adoptions onsite.

"It's a package meeting planners can purchase to bring some pawsitivity to their meetings," Cavallo says. "During their break, we can bring in dogs to chill with their attendees. We [wanted] to give groups a fun option to reduce stress and elevate moods with the goal of higher productivity, which have all been proven benefits of interacting with pets."

A portion of the proceeds from the package is donated to the animal rescue organization for the meeting planner's choice, Cavallo adds. "It's a win-win for all!"

The package, which is offered to any meeting or group of 25 or more guests, was developed in January and began taking off in March.
