The governing board of Associations North in St. Paul announced Angela Kisskeys and Sarah Ruzek as the organization’s co-directors. The two will take over for president, Kathy Johnson, CAE. Johnson, who served the association for 28 years, will retire June 2017.

Meeting Professionals International has just announced their leaders for the Board of Directors and the MPI Foundation Global Board of Trustees in 2017. All members are effective Jan. 1, 2017, and their term is up on Dec. 31, 2017.
“Over the past few years, MPI has had many prominent industry leaders serve on our boards and this year is no different,” says Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI. “We have a broad mix of volunteers representing meeting planning firms, hoteliers, convention and visitors bureaus, technology and travel companies, and more.”
The Convention Industry Council Annual Meetings of Members was held on Oct. 20. This year’s meeting introduced the newly elected CIC Board of Directors.
Susan Robertson, CAE, executive vice president, ASAE, and president, Center for Association Leadership in Washington, D.C., was elected as the new CIC board chair; the position was previously held by Bonnie Fedchock, who completed her term.
