
Beachside hotel Jamaica Bay Inn Marina del Rey, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, recently updated one of its most popular event spaces, the Antigua Room, in April. The refresh debuted on the heels of last year’s propertywide renovation of all 111 guest rooms, which now feature fresh, island-inspired decor.
“We wanted the Antigua Room to reflect our recent guest room renovations, which are considered ‘modern coastal,’” says Adrienne Snow, director of sales at Jamaica Bay Inn.
As part of the renovation, the wallpaper, carpet, lighting, and fixtures were all updated. The paint also was refreshed in several areas, including the window shutters. The Antigua Room offers 933 square feet of event space and accommodates up to 60 attendees reception-style, opening directly out to the Beachside Patio on Marina Beach (also known as Mother’s Beach). Combined, the two spaces accommodate up to 210 attendees. “The Antigua Room is our only event space that has double doors opening to our Beachside Patio,” says Snow. “With this added feature, guests are able to experience indoor and outdoor seating and activities, along with use of our lounge furniture and fire pits.”

In addition to the Antigua Room, other event spaces at Jamaica Bay Inn include the 1,008-square-foot waterfront Bermuda Room that hosts up to 70 guests and the 367-square-foot Barbados Boardroom, ideal for smaller meetings of up to 10 people. All event spaces have tropical names to match the property’s overall theme. “Jamaica Bay Inn’s beachfront location was the original inspiration behind our hotel name,” says Snow. “It only made sense to theme our event spaces after Caribbean islands that surround Jamaica.”
The inn is within proximity to area attractions such as the Marina Del Rey Marina, Venice Beach, and Santa Monica. It’s also less than six miles from Los Angeles International Airport, making it a convenient venue for groups traveling from out of town.
