Each building of the hotel boasts standout options for meeting and event spaces. The State Building features the 2,850-square-foot Alhambra Ballroom, which is elegantly engulfed in black-and-white Moroccan tile. The ballroom sits next to the 4,500-square-foot Court of Califia event lawn.
Atop the fourth floor of the property’s Californian Building is the 3,500-square-foot Mirador rooftop offering panoramic views of the coastline and Santa Ynez Mountains. The rooftop works well for up to 180 guests. Hotel Californian’s third building, the Mason Building, features five flexible meeting rooms ideal for groups of up to 60 in each. Additional on-site amenities include several food and beverage options, such as Djinn Library Bar for cocktails and Blackbird Cocktail Lounge and Restaurant for drinks and light bites.
To explore the local Santa Barbara area, the hotel sits right at the entrance to the area’s Funk Zone neighborhood featuring an enclave of wine tasting rooms, breweries, boutiques, and restaurants that make group activities easy and accessible. Rent bikes at Wheel Fun Rental for a shoreline ride, sip a menu of reds and white wines at Santa Barbara Winery, or sit down for some sushi and other Japanese delights at the nearby OKU restaurant.
