Planners seeking an eco-conscious winery venue might consider heading to Temecula and hosting at Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards. In late May, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Orange County, an organization focused on driving middle-market growth, named the Temecula winery the recipient of its 2025 Green/Sustainability Award. The honor was handed out at ACG’s 30th Annual Awards Gala, held at the Irvine Marriott hotel, and recognizes companies in the middle-market sector that go above and beyond with sustainability efforts.
“This award is more than recognition—it’s a reminder that we can build a successful business by healing the land, not just using it,” says Bill Wilson, owner and CEO of Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards, in a prepared statement. “We believe healthy soil equals healthy grapes, which leads to exceptional wine—and a better future for all of us.”
The winery implemented a holistic, data-driven regenerative farming initiative that includes cover crops, compost testing, insect biodiversity tracking, soil health monitoring, and more. Wilson Creek also is partnering with Temecula Valley High School to lead its Regenerative Agriculture Program, where winery staff mentor students and provide hands-on training in living soil practices, integrated pest management, and sustainable vineyard operations. “Our goal is to help create the next wave of winegrowers and agriculture leaders who understand that sustainability is science, not just philosophy,” says Wilson Creek Vineyard Manager Greg Pennyroyal.
For meetings and events, the winery offers several private spaces, including its 5,100-square-foot Champagne Ballroom with French doors, vineyard views, and a built-in bar. Its newest al fresco venue, Vineyard Row, is nestled near the winery’s first row of grape vines and ideal for more intimate gatherings of up to 100. Memorable team-building activities like wine-blending competitions and grape stomping also are available.
