The Declan Suites, formerly The Sheraton Suites, recently opened with an intimate link to the heart of San Diego’s musical and cultural history. The hotel, which is operating under new management, will be revamped for the technology minded and culturally inclined traveler.
Located adjacent to the San Diego Symphony Hall in the heart of downtown, The Declan Suites plans to play off of its location and reference technology and music throughout the design concept. The reconceptualization of the space into this new avant-garde concept will begin in spring 2014. The makeover will include a life feed video wall, a communal technology area, local art and a musically-engaging lobby.
“We are thrilled to integrate The Declan Suites into San Diego’s cultural landscape,” said Alex Dallocchio, general manager. “Next door to the Symphony Orchestra, blocks away from Balboa Park’s cultural venues and in the artistic heart of downtown, the hotel will become a place where art, technology and music intertwine to create a distinctive hotel experience.”
Each of the 264 guest rooms comes with a separate sitting room and the Declan Suites will offer loaner bikes, providing guests a green alternative to explore the city. Other features of the hotel will include a lively bar, fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a full range of business services.
