People who might be surprised to learn that Burbank offers stunning views have never been to Castaway. First opened in 1962, the iconic restaurant reopened this spring after a $10 million renovation. Perched high in the Verdugo Hills, just above the DeBell golf course, the restaurant now has multilevel seating on its sprawling patio, a wraparound bar, floor-to-ceiling windows in its banquet rooms and a gazebo courtyard. All will leave you gasping at the unexpected beauty of the San Fernando Valley. With a full-service events team and eight outdoor and indoor event spaces, Castaway can accommodate groups from 20 to 1,000. Wi-Fi and valet parking are complimentary, the A/V equipment is state-of-the-art and shuttle service is available. Executive chef Perry Pollaci oversees a wide-ranging seasonal menu with a steak-forward focus; there’s an in-house aging room with walls made of Himalayan salt blocks.

The Historic St. Anthony Hotel debuts a new restaurant.
