Set to open in December 2020, the Circa Resort & Casino is a gaming resort that will bring a new energy to downtown. The venture will be the first ground-up resort in the area since 1980 and is the brainchild of brothers and developers Derek and Greg Stevens.

“There is a lot of unmet demand for fun in Las Vegas,” says Derek. “At Circa, our goal is to create a destination resort in a historic part of the city, while showing guests the time of their lives.”

The casino will be another in a list of ventures already established by the brothers, including the D Las Vegas, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Circa is set to combine a vintage Las Vegas feel with modern technology in order to pay homage to the golden age of the city. The casino’s nod to the past will include past legends of Las Vegas, varying from the visionaries behind the first gambling halls on Fremont Street to the Strip’s renowned destination resorts.

Circa will contain 777 rooms and suites, a variety of restaurants, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street Experience, a spa and a two-level casino with brand new slot and table gaming options.

Circa will be home to a modern parking structure playfully called “Garage Mahal,” specifically designed with the increased use of Uber and Lyft in mind. The nine-story garage will contain 1, 201 parking spaces.

An additional element will be a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook, which will be equipped with the biggest screen in the history of sportsbooks. The Stevens brothers recently announced a partnership with sports gaming media organization Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN) to include an in-house broadcast studio at Circa. Bettors will have access to in-depth analysis from several experts including broadcasters, industry professionals and athletes.

Construction is currently in progress for the property, which boasts 1.25 million square feet. The resort will feature a bold design, accentuated by a backlit roofline and an extensive multi-tiered pool amphitheater. Featuring several pools and a massive screen with the latest high-resolution technology, the amphitheater will offer a singular watch-party atmosphere for sports fans and sunseekers. The venue will also incorporate a delicious food and beverage menu, private cabanas and entertainment from DJs and special guests.

Developers of The Dayton's Project have announced plans to transform the former JB Hudson Jewelers store into a restaurant space open to the public in spring 2020. Located at Nicollet and 8th Street, the restaurant will include indoor and outdoor patio seating and a dedicated entrance on Nicollet.
