If you’re looking for inspiration in creating a signature drink that will wow guests at the next corporate banquet, consider the limited-edition Coco Chanel-inspired cocktail menu that’s currently available at the 35th-floor bar at Sofitel Melbourne.

The star of the cocktail collection is the $400 Classique Sensation, a mix of Richard Hennessy Paradis Cognac balanced with French aperitifs and the rare champagne Marc de Champagne that’s served in a flute accented with 24K gold leaf and adorned in a miniature custom couture cocktail jacket, handmade from material sourced from the same tweed used by the Chanel design house today.

Other highlights include the Little Black Dress ($120), a champagne concoction with  housemade black cocoa syrup, egg white and edible camellia sugar flower, presented in a  glass adorned in a couture black dress. La Collection Rose ($30) pays homage to the iconic Chanel purse. The mix of vodka, toasted Szechuan peppercorns and chestnut liqueur is topped with an edible ruby chocolate handbag.

Ready to start crocheting cocktail-sized accessories? Or, perhaps, just add a couple of raspberries to the lemon peel garnish.
