The Curtis, A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, unveiled a swath of updates in mid-March following an extensive renovation project. The eclectic property is known for its 13 themed floors, all of which have a distinct design and colorful guest rooms that play into their respective themes—from the summer camp-inspired “Camp Curtis” floor to the “Level Up” floor centered on all things arcade games. The transformation touched all elements of the hotel, including its meeting and event spaces that received brightly colored, patterned carpeting and stylish decor.

“We’re officially introducing a new era of play at the Curtis,” says Lizzie Raudenbush, general manager and self-described “chief happiness officer” at the hotel, in a prepared statement. “We have reimagined everything guests loved about the property to make it bigger and bolder. I couldn’t be prouder of our team of creative geniuses who brought this dream to life. It is no small feat to transform 13 themed floors and develop meeting spaces that are anything but corporate. We don’t take our nickname as ‘Denver’s happiest hotel’ lightly, so we have brought smile-inducing details to every part of the guest experience at The Curtis.”
In addition to renovated guest rooms, The Curtis also launched immersive, hyperthemed suites that take the idea of “theme” to a whole new level. The “Party Like a Rockstar” suite is housed on the “Life of the Party” floor and features a glitter-covered wall and striking artwork, the “Recess” suite on the “Blacktop” floor is reminiscent of bygone school days with a vintage classroom desk and chalkboard accent wall, and the “Get a Clue” suite on the 13th “Knock on Wood” floor pulls from the iconic Clue board game with a moody color palette and a copy of the game for attendees to enjoy.
The transformed event spaces span more than 30,000 square feet and include a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace, the 4,136-square-foot Tree House Ballroom, a 1,897-square-foot prefunction space, and several breakout rooms.
