Serving Up Hope, hosted by the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado (MIC) since 1994, gives meeting industry professionals the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and give back to the greater community. After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event returns on Nov. 9, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield.
Tickets are on sale now for Serving Up Hope, which features food and beverage booths by local restaurants and hotels and awards presented by a panel of judges. The luncheon thrives on ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Food Bank of the Rockies. The largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region, Food Bank of the Rockies provides an average of 1.5 million meals a week to people in Colorado and Wyoming.
New to Serving Up Hope in 2022 is the sale of ticket and sponsor packages. To date, this year’s sponsors include Omni Hotels & Resorts, Cvent, Encore, Fogo de Chão, Halcyon, Hotel Boulderado, Table Mountain Inn, Freeman Events, MiHi Entertainment, Moment’s Notice & Company, Alegre Weddings and Events, Interaction Denver, and Shamrock Foods.
Also new this year is the fellows program, which provides the opportunity to give an additional tax-deductible donation in exchange for event tickets, recognition, and advertising. This year’s Fellows to date include Christian Meetings & Events Association, Disney Meetings & Events, Matthews Performance Group, Visit Aurora, IAEE Rocky Mountain Chapter, and 5 Senses Hospitality Management.
