Tiny Homes & Airstream Glamping Offer Distinct Options for Groups

By M+E Staff

For groups looking for something completely different than hotels and lodges, Four Points Funding has the solution with Camp Eddy in Grand Junction and BV Overlook in Buena Vista. Both are part of the company’s Outdoor Hospitality Portfolio and offer venues attendees are sure to remember.

Camp Eddy

Opened in August, Camp Eddy features tiny homes, upscale Airstream trailers, and RV camping for stays along the Colorado River. Located in the 130-acre Las Colonias Park, Camp Eddy also has a The Hub, a modern coworking space, that doubles as meeting and event space along with a riverside patio.

“Camp Eddy is less than a month old, so we haven’t started working with corporate groups as of yet, although we see lots of potential,” says Julia Saul, director of marketing and consumer insights for Four Points Funding. “I see The Hub being popular with corporate individuals who are seeking clean and private accommodations with a large and productive workspace to utilize for remote working.”

With scenic desert mesa views, Camp Eddy has easy access to swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and is an easy bike ride to the shops, restaurants and attractions in downtown Grand Junction. Grand Junction Adventures rents kayaks and SUPs on the east side of Las Colonias Park next to the Butterfly Pond, and the park’s amphitheater along the Colorado River and adjacent to the Colorado Riverfront Trail is a venue option for groups and hosts a variety of concerts and events. The amphitheater features a 40-by-60-foot stage, back-of-house amenities such as a green room and side wings, parking and gently sloped lawn seating.

BV Overlook

The shared space at BV Overlook in Buena Vista was recently renovated, and the property is ”already receiving interest to utilize this space for meetings, gatherings, and courses,” Sauls says. “We have tiny homes and cabins on-site, which make it a great space to stay where meetings are happening. It’s also a gorgeous site with views of 14,000-foot peaks from outside of your window.”

Guests also can camp in their RVs, vans, or tents and access the Midland Trail from the property. Newly renovated bathhouses, community fire pits, outdoor games, Wi-Fi, and an on-site coffeeshop, Overlook Coffee Co, are among the other highlights at BV Overlook
