The Broadmoor’s Ranch at Emerald Valley recently finished renovations and will be ready for guests for the 2014 season starting on August 15. The intimate, all-inclusive ranch is nested in the Pike National Forest, at an elevation of 8,000 feet.
The Ranch at Emerald Valley offers guests a wide range of activities, such as guided horseback riding and hiking, archery, fly fishing, canoeing and mountain biking. Relaxing days can be spent with wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, stargazing and board games. Guests can also access the amentities at The Broadmoor, which include swimming pools, golf, spa and a variety of dining options.
Sleeping 32 guests throughout 10 cabins, The Ranch at Emerald Valley also offers a Lodge with a dining room, bar and wraparound deck. The Lodge also includes two lakeside hot tubs and patio fire pits.Â
Each cabin has been restored with an earthy style, including fireplaces and private decks. Cabins vary in size- the Aspen Cabin sleeps two, while the Hill Cabin fits 10 and features a chef’s kitchen and spacious patio.
During guests’ stay, Broadmoor Ranch offers gourmet meals and cookouts. Seasonal menus may include Thai Spiced Tomato Watermelon Gazpacho with Arkansas Valley summer melons, lemongrass, ginger, and basil; Roasted Venison Loin with baby bok choy, ginger, carrots, and sauce dolce fort, and Slow Cooked Duck Breast with olives, turnips, red radishes, and creamy polenta, along with house-made desserts such as Warm Peach Clafoutie and the Pie of the Day. Fine wines, local microbrews, cocktails and a diverse selection of spirits will be offered.
Guests will check-in at The Broadmoor South Tower, and then be transported to the Ranch by way of private Broadmoor arrangements. Rates at The Ranch at Emerald Valley begin at $500.00 per adult, based on double occupancy, inclusive of accommodations, activities, meals, and house-select beverages.
