Colorado’s Industry Associations Return to Meeting in Person

By M+E Staff

Anyone who has spent much time in the meetings and events industry knows that the people involved tend to be a social bunch. That’s especially true for the industry associations with chapters in Colorado. It was hard to keep these crews contained during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s nice to see association gatherings back in action, ranging from happy hours and education sessions to annual galas.

National Association of Catering & Events (NACE) Denver never disappoints with some of the most creative events every year. The photos from Yappy Hour held at the Watering Bowl, a dog-friendly bar and patio in Denver, on June 14 are sure to make you smile.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Southern Colorado Chapter gathered at The Antlers, A Wyndham Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs for a lunch and learn on June 15. In his presentation “A Game You Must Win,” speaker Will Matthews discussed how the external challenges of today are also are providing an opportunity for teams and association members to tap into new levels of resiliency, reinvention and creative solutions and to let go of approaches that don’t work.

Members of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Rocky Mountain Chapter were encouraged to wear Oscar/cocktail attire for “A Night with the MPI Stars.” The chapter’s annual gala and auction was held on June 17 at Roof16 in Denver. Member awards were presented throughout the evening as attendees embarked on a multiple floor immersive experience.
