Four Seasons Hotel Denver implemented several sustainability programs noteworthy to planners and groups. A new Smart Valve system reduces water usage by at least 10% every month, and the hotel installed motion sensors and retrofitted lighting in guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to reduce energy consumption. Also, the Four Seasons eliminated single-use plastics from guest rooms—including water bottles and bathroom amenities—and now offers complimentary electric vehicles for attendees to explore Denver. Electric vehicle charging stations also are available.

An on-site recycling program includes specialty items, including light bulbs, batteries, metal, kitchen grease, and cooking oil. Not content to stop there, the culinary team at the hotel’s Edge Restaurant & Bar partners with Englewood-based nonprofit Kaizen Food Rescue to donate excess food to the community, purchases products from area producers like Björn’s Colorado Honey based in Boulder, and has a composting program and internal practices in place to reduce food waste at the property.
