The new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, set to open this fall, is designed to host meetings and events. The 375-room property will contain 26,000 square feet of indoor meeting space with floor-to-ceiling windows and include a 12,000-square-foot ballroom, a 6,000-square-foot junior ballroom, seven meeting rooms, and two boardrooms. All meeting space will be conveniently located on one floor, and there is 11,000 square feet of pre-function space.
Hotel Polaris also plans to offer unique team-building programs for on-site groups, from experiencing the only in-hotel flight simulators in the U.S. to taking part in the property’s falconry program and exploring the dark skies outside of Colorado Springs through the celestial navigation program. The property also is collaborating with the academy’s Center for Character and Leadership Development to provide business leaders with targeted curriculum.
In addition to on-site catering, Hotel Polaris will have restaurants and bars, including a full-service restaurant, ninth-floor rooftop bar, lobby bar, grab-and-go cafe, and family restaurant and bar modeled after a recreation room. A full-service spa, fitness center, and outdoor pool and sun deck are among the other amenities.
