Limelight Hotel Aspen Reopening After Six-Month Refresh

By M+E Staff

The first property of the Limelight Hotel brand, Limelight Hotel Aspen has undergone a full makeover and will begin welcoming guests back at the start of the 2021/22 ski season in November 2021. Located next to Wagner Park in downtown Aspen, the upgrades include all 126 guestrooms and suites and public spaces such as the Limelight Lounge, conference room, lobby and bar. Guests and groups will notice a new arrival experience, expanded seating for dining, and relocation of the lounge’s stage area to better accommodate events.

Limelight Aspen’s new interior aesthetic was created by New York City-based Stonehill Taylor and incorporates the community’s past and present. The overall look and feel recognize Aspen’s legacy as a center of innovation and a longtime skiing destination.

Stonehill Taylor team also designed the Limelight Hotel Snowmass, which launched in late 2018, two years after Limelight Hotel Ketchum in Idaho opened in 2016.

“The Aspen property sets a key tone for all Limelight properties,” says Abby Bullard, Senior Interiors Associate with Stonehill Taylor. “This renovation will infuse the iconic Limelight hotel with a new spirit of vibrancy, bringing in high-quality furnishings and finishes with metallic accents, pops of bright color, and the artful use of natural material. The property boasts a decidedly contemporary feel—a casual yet sophisticated take on outdoor adventure.”
