Under new ownership and located slopeside at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Elevation Hotel & Spa is integrating local touches while transforming the hotel. The newest food and beverage outlet is billy barr, a comfortable lobby lounge serving coffee and breakfast tacos daily from 7-11 a.m., followed by cocktails, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, and more from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The outlet is named for a legendary local naturalist and researcher, and provides a glimpse at barr’s efforts in tandem with Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL), one of the largest and oldest scientific field stations in the world located in nearby Gothic. The billy barr was designed in partnership with architectural firm Winteriors
and features memorabilia on loan from RMBL and the Crested Butte Museum.
