Under new ownership after 48 years of stewardship by the Fritch family, Sitzmark Lodge in Vail Village introduced the remodeled Fritch Penthouse Suite. The 2,800-square-foot suite features four bedrooms and three bathrooms and can accommodate up to 13 overnight guests. With vaulted ceilings, open living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, the penthouse is ideal for small group retreats and gatherings and has direct access to a rooftop pool and deck, also available to groups.
Featuring a modern design, the penthouse renovation is a preview of what is to come with a planned interior remodel of the entire 36-room hotel scheduled for summer 2023. “Our goal is to celebrate the history of Vail and include authentically local components in every room,” says Steve Kisielica, managing partner for Sitzmark Lodge. “Our goal is to keep a certain whimsy that follows the Sitzmark name while elevating the interior design with a European-influenced, mountain-modern look and feel.”
