Denver-based Stonebridge Cos. has been recognized with a Hilton Americas Development Award for transforming the building that housed the Emily Griffith Opportunity School from 1926 to 2015 into The Slate Denver, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The annual awards recognize the achievements of owners, development partners, and hotel teams in the Americas across several categories.
Located at 1250 Welton St. in downtown Denver, across from the Colorado Convention Center, The Slate Denver is a four-story, 251-room hotel that features nods to its past such as a front desk situated behind a reproduction file-card cabinet and the Teachers’ Lounge Food + Drink restaurant. The property has nearly 4,500 square feet of
meeting and event space.
“We are thrilled to have been recognized with a Hilton Americas Development Award,” says General Manager Kirby Kiner. “This award reinforces our commitment to provide guests at The Slate Denver an extraordinary experience at a truly one-of-a-kind property.”
