The Gant Aspen Offers Local Experiences & Debuts Sustainability Initiatives

By M+E Staff

One of the nicest things about The Gant Aspen is the condominium resort’s location on the fringe of downtown Aspen in a residential area. It’s peaceful and quiet with waterfalls at the entrance and lush landscaping throughout but situated only a few blocks from shops, restaurants, and skiing at Aspen Mountain.

Eco-Friendly

When relaxing or meeting amongst the beautiful atmosphere of this property that is readying to celebrate 50 years in 2023, it seems only natural that The Gant recently introduced a new Minimalist Package. While this package was created with leisure travelers in mind, Director of Sales and Marketing Lou Eppelsheimer notes they are considering how it can be an option for groups as well.

With the Minimalist Package, guests receive a discount on lodging, agree to no daily housekeeping services (with trash and towel services available upon request), and receive a sustainable welcome amenity, a reusable shopping bag and complimentary point-to-point WE-Cycle bike rentals.

All guests at The Gant can take advantage of two electric vehicle charging stations, and the condominiums and public spaces are stocked with large bottles of sustainable bath amenities by Public Goods and a bamboo-sourced, plastic-free and eco-friendly line of toilet paper, paper towels and tissue by Who Gives a Cr*p, which donates 50% of its profits to developing countries in need of plumbing and has raised more than $10 million to date.

Keeping in line with mindful choices, Marble Distilling Co. is the resort’s preferred vodka. Located in nearby Carbondale, the distillery recaptures 100% of its process water and reuses energy harvested from the distillation process to heat its production and tasting room facility and upper-floor inn. Marble Distilling is available to do event pop-ups and tastings at The Gant and has a second tasting room in Aspen.

Amenities & Experiences

The Gant has 140 individually owned condominiums that range from one to four bedrooms and is unique for this type of property as it features a conference center with 5,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and an on-site restaurant, Pepperjack’s Café. There are also pools, hot tubs, and tennis and pickle ball courts.

Also, the property teams up with local partners in the Roaring Fork Valley to offer groups unique experiences in Aspen and beyond. One of the newest options is glassblowing classes in nearby Carbondale. Wine tastings and tours at wineries in Paonia also are sure to impress. In terms of nature-immersed activities, options include stand-up paddleboarding at sunrise (SUP), rafting one of three nearby rivers, hiking from Aspen to Crested Butte, and ATV adventuring in the backcountry from Electric Mountain Lodge in Paonia.
