The Ritz-Carlton, Denver Awarded for Outstanding Community Service

The Ritz-Carlton, Denver recently accepted the award for Outstanding Community Service during the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Achievement Awards, part of the annual Stars of the Industry Awards.

The hotel was honored for its Community Footprints’ Succeed Through Service program, where the hotel partners with local, disadvantaged schools and children’s organizations to assists students in exploring career options and leadership development. The program also focuses on those who are facing hunger, homelessness and poverty by providing job-readiness training, meal preparation and more, all led by employees. Additionally, The Ritz-Carlton, Denver has donated more than $34,000 to various local charities.

“At The Ritz-Carlton, our global company is aligned around the issues that are important to; the communities where we operate,” said Hervé Humler, president and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC. “By mobilizing our resources and skill-based volunteer efforts, we strive to make a difference through child well-being, hunger and poverty relief, and environmental responsibility.”

The AH&LA has been annually awarding these honors since 1966 to distinguished individual hotels that have developed outstanding programs, events and campaigns. Other awards include Special Events, Guest Relations, Good Earthkeeping and Technology Innovation.
