Liven Up Your Agenda with Summer Fun in Snowmass Village

By M+E Staff

There are all sorts of happenings for meeting and event planners to plug groups into in Snowmass Village this summer, taking some of the pressure off building a memorable and effective agenda.

Not only is it the 30th anniversary of the Snowmass Free Concert SeriesDrishti Beats Yoga & Music Festival and Plein Air Art Festival are being added to the summer calendar for the first time, there are new events at various venues around the village, and Snowmass Bike Park continues to expand. And, if your group meets at Viceroy Snowmass, you are sure to meet their new puppy, Vi.

Snowmass Free Concert Series, a local’s favorite, returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening at 6:30pm from June 16-Aug. 25. Improvements to the concert venue include a new stage roof, dance floor, entry area, and container bars that are replacing tented bars. In addition, the Electric Dandelions, which first debuted during the Winter 2021/2022 Snowmass Luminescence, will add dazzle to the Fanny Hill hillside. The giant steel and acrylic sculptures represent dandelion flowers during the day and come to life at night as an endless firework display.

The Collective Snowmass, the hub for community events at the ski area base, is debuting several new offerings for summer. In addition to the return of the popular Movies Under the Stars, Snowmass Live Comedy and Music Series, Community Bingo, and Yoga with Aaron King, The Collective’s lineup also features fun happenings that small groups can plug. Paint & Sip art classes with local artist Kelly Peters are happening on July 24 and Aug. 21 along with a Full Moon Silent Disco on August 12, Open Mic Night on Sept. 7 and 14; and Salsa Dancing on select Friday nights. Or schedule your own private events with The Collective.

Just steps from The Collective, Limelight Hotel Snowmass is hosting a Summer Dinner Series once a month that features foods in their peak of freshness from local farms. The three-course dinner format also will highlight craft breweries, distilleries, and more. Again, this is a good option for groups to consider recreating for their own needs.

Viceroy Snowmass has introduced Vi, a 5-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, who welcomes guests during a pet-friendly Yappy Hour on the patio at NEST and will help lead guests and their own four-legged family members on daily hikes in Snowmass. Viceroy Snowmass is donating a portion of the proceeds from Yappy Hour to a local animal shelter.

In June, Viceroy Snowmass also is debuting a new wedding deck located slopeside and featuring 360-degree views of Snowmass Village, the surrounding mountains, and Assay Hill. The wedding deck will be available June through mid-October.

Sunset Tuesdays return to Elk Camp from June 28-Aug. 9 with Elk Camp Restaurant, Snowmass Bike Park, and Lost Forest offering extended hours on Tuesday evenings, making it the perfect chance to meet all day and play at night. The experience includes a complimentary ride up Elk Camp Gondola to the restaurant starting at 5 p.m. so guests can enjoy a farm-to-table inspired à la carte dinner, full bar, outdoor family activities, and live music on the deck. Other classic Snowmass events to plug into during summer and fall are Heritage FireSnowmass Rodeo, and Snowmass Balloon Festival.
