Hotel Denver, a hotel that has welcomed guests since 1915, has undergone a name change to Hotel Maxwell Anderson and is wrapping up a renovation that includes the guest rooms, lobby, and expanded access to Glenwood Canyon Brewpub. Another longtime property, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort—opened in 1888 on the site of the Yampah Spring—is adding five geothermal hot spring pools on the east end of its current large pool area. The expanded area is slated to open early this summer. The resort has a 107-room lodge with two conference rooms available for groups.
Bair Ranch has introduced cowboy cookouts this year, an outdoor dining experience set against the backdrop of Glenwood Canyon that also includes live music, lasso roping, line dancing, and horseshoes. Horseback rides, ATV tours, and clay shooting can be booked for predinner entertainment.
