Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs has completed a $40 million renovation project. The upgrade includes the more than 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, four dining venues, Strata Spa, Strata Med, and 117 guest rooms, suites, cottages, and casitas.
The refresh emphasizes the feelings of enrichment, wellness, discovery, and relaxation that the resort’s location and scenic views evoke. The interiors also embrace the surrounding mountain landscapes and incorporate natural materials reflective of the resort’s namesake, Garden of the Gods, which is a designated National Natural Landmark.
In the lodge rooms and suites, tones of gray, taupe, brown, and bronze are accented with light blues and greens to encourage feelings of peace and serenity, and the reimagined bathrooms have nearly doubled in size. Cottages and casitas have patios and range in size from one- to three-bedroom, offering a more residential and secluded experience ideal for small groups.
While all dining venues and bars experienced upgrades, Grand View restaurant was completely transformed. The floor-to-ceiling windows give a feeling of being enveloped by nature along with oak wood flooring and organic materials such as stone, leather, and copper. New chandeliers and an onyx bar also are among the new features at Grand View.
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club can host gatherings of up to 250 guests with 12,000 square feet of indoor function space spread across seven rooms and 10,000 square feet of outdoor space comprised of four terraces. Groups can take advantage of a variety of experiential and wellness packages designed to spark creativity, optimize well-being, and foster team building. Examples include guided hikes, yoga, and meditation sessions at the base of Garden of the Gods.
Other elements of the $40 million renovation at the Colorado Springs resort include the addition of fire pits to the patio area of The Rocks Lounge, introduction of three new tennis courts and six pickleball courts, enhancement of Kissing Camels Clubhouse with new furnishings and an expanded outdoor seating terrace, and updates to the reception area and salon at Strata.
