Since its founding in 1989, RMC has evolved into the largest privately owned destination management company in North America, growing from one office in Aspen, Colorado, to multiple locations around the United States. The woman-owned and founder-led company specializes in full-service, high-end luxury destination management services and continues to grow its staff. Most recently, Rhea Stagner joins the RMC team as chief partnership officer.
Stagner is a former Maritz Global Events executive who has led supplier relations, sourcing, and business development for over 20 years. In addition to her career, she also is an active volunteer, working as a co-founder of The Above and Beyond Foundation that recognizes, rewards, and supports outstanding individuals on the front lines of the hospitality,and a trustee of the SITE Foundation that raises funds and supports research, education, and advocacy projects on behalf of the incentive travel industry. She currently serves on the board of The Mighty Oaks Heart Foundation and co-chairs the Gateway to Hope annual gala.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Stagner currently resides in the suburb of Webster Groves with her husband, Derek, and son, Logan.

After Shawn Thomson founded Rocky Mountain Connections in 1989, the company expanded over the next decade to include offices in Vail/Beaver Creek, Colorado Springs, and Denver. In 2001, RMC grew beyond Colorado to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and added Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, seven years later.
