Commonwealth Hotels of Covington, Kentucky, hired Mark Shine as director of sales and marketing at The Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton. With over 25 years of tenure in the hospitality industry, Shine aims to draw upon his extensive hospitality expertise in his role where he will lead the hotel’s sales and marketing teams, and exceed guest satisfaction, all while successfully driving sales; maximizing opportunities for leisure, business, and group travelers; and more.

Throughout his career, Shine has held roles at several prominent hotels in Colorado including The Brown Palace Hotel in Denver and Spa and Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa in Gateway. In his early years, Shine sharpened his sales and marketing acumen with Quorum Hotels & Resorts of Dallas, Texas, where he rose in the ranks and was promoted to oversee operations at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa and Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown along with responsibilities for six food and beverage outlets and a world-class spa. From there, Shine moved to Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa and, most recently, Shine served as director of sales and marketing at The Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop in Denver. In his role at The Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop, he led the execution of all partnerships, programming, and on-/off-property events for the hotel and its three dining outlets: Kisbee’s, Narrative, and Dabble.
In his free time, Shine enjoys exploring all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, specifically via the mountain bike trails.
