Culinary Excursions in a Snap
The land that originally held a Colorado Springs dairy farm and gambling casino in the late 1800s was transformed into The Broadmoor, one of Colorado’s most iconic luxury resorts, with the vision and guidance of founder Spencer Penrose. The resort’s doors opened to the world on June 29, 1918, and the rest is history.
One of the best and simplest ways to get a real taste of local without going to a bunch of work and expense is scheduling a meeting in tandem with a destination’s event calendar.
— 2 cups Breckenridge Gin
— 1/2 cup Dolin Blanc Vermouth (do not substitute another dry vermouth, but if necessary use Lillet Blanc)
— 2 cups Teakoe’s Kodiak Mountain Mint Tea (prepared from tea bags)
— 1 cup lavender syrup*
— 1 cup fresh lemon juice (fresh squeezed the day punch is made)
Combine, stir and serve chilled over ice with a lemon slice and thyme sprig. Serves eight people with two full servings each
