Event Snapshots: Destination Colorado Annual Meeting & Front Range Trade Show


Suppliers and meeting and event planners from around Colorado gathered at the Front Range Trade Show to network and book business. Destination Colorado’s 22nd annual event happened on Dec. 5 at The Hangar at Stanley, located in Aurora’s Stanley Marketplace. The association’s annual meet - ing was immediately before the trade show, upstairs at The Infinite Monkey Theorem.

Event Snapshot: Destination Colorado Customer Appreciation Event


For the past five years, Destination Colorado has been switching up its Customer Appreciation Event from golf to experiential. This year, partner suppliers helped host planners for a private dinner reception at Red Rocks Amphitheatre followed by a 1964 Beatles tribute band performance. Nostalgic costume items, a photo booth and a roped-off seating section at Red Rocks were part of the fun.

Destination Colorado Recognized Industry Leaders with Peak Performer of the Year Awards

The 2016 Peak Performer of the Year award winners have finally been announced. The honors were given at Destination Colorado’s Annual Meeting in the beginning of December at EXDO Event Center in Denver.

The awards recognize members for their outstanding leadership and commitment to promoting the meetings and events industry in Colorado.

Get Inside Access to the Minds of Millennial Planners


A youthful and experienced panel of millennial meeting planners was on hand at Destination Colorado’s annual Town Hall Meeting held last fall at Table Mountain Inn in Golden. Current trends, lines of communication, use of social media, and the evolution of meeting planning and supplier relationships were among topics discussed by four Colorado-based planners: Angela Coleman of KMPG Financial Services, Stephanie Sadri of HelmsBriscoe, Erin Parrott of Kinsley Meetings and Gina Kim of PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc.

Event Snapshots: Destination Colorado Photo Safari


For its 13th annual Customer Appreciation Event, Destination Colorado put a new lens on with a Photo Safari held in Estes Park. An evening reception was hosted by The Stanley Hotel, followed by breakfast hosted by the YMCA of the Rockies and Estes Park, a photo safari in Rocky Mountain National Park (with tips and tricks provided earlier by Erik Stensland), box lunches sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Park Inn and Boulder CVB, and 100th Birthday party for the park at Prospect Inn on the following day.
